Accellion, Inc., a pioneer in secure file transfer and attachment offload solutions, today announced the availability of two new versions of its flagship product, Accellion Courier Standard Appliance and Accellion Courier Enterprise Appliance. In response to market demand for secure, low administrative alternatives to file transfer methods such as FTP and e-mail, Accellion now provides two versions of its popular File Transfer Appliance (FTA) solution.

• Accellion Courier Standard File Transfer Appliance, designed for single site and medium to high volume users, makes sending files as easy as web-based e-mail while offering end-to-end file security and policy-based automatic file lifecycle management.
• Accellion Courier Enterprise File Transfer Appliance, designed for multi-site and high volume users, is a full-featured, enterprise product that, in addition to the features available in the Standard Appliance, supports plug-in integration with Outlook and Lotus clients as well as clustering for multi-site load balancing, intelligent replication and failover.

With this latest release, organizations of all sizes can increase productivity and reduce administrative overhead with Accellion's cost effective and secure file transfer appliances.

• Web-based UI
  Accellion Courier has an intuitive Web interface that requires no training. It also allows for company branding through the use of skins.
• Address book integration (thru LDAP)
  Users can address a message by selecting from their corporate address book.
• Guaranteed download receipt for audit control
  When a recipient downloads the file, a return receipt is generated to the sender. The recipient is unaware of the return receipt and cannot turn it off.
• External send back
  External users can use Accellion Courier to send large files back to the company with the same level of security.
• End-to-end file transport security
  Files are replicated, uploaded, and downloaded through secure links and recipients are authenticated. This ensures that only the intended recipients can access the file and users can view and track files sent.
• Integration with e-mail (Enterprise Appliance only)
  An attach button can be integrated via plug-in into a Microsoft Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes client, so files can be sent directly from e-mail.
• Support for multi-site/appliance architecture (Enterprise Appliance only)
  Enterprise FTA supports multi-site configuration where each site needs the capacity to deal with high volume usage as well as the need to replicate files across sites as a fail-over measure.
