Midmarket Sales Representative

Job Description and Desired Skills: 

Our Midmarket Sales team sells to businesses between 2,500-5,000 employees and is characterized by a high-velocity model – fast turnover of sales opportunities.  We are agile and motivated to close the sale quickly.

The Midmarket Sales team is part of the Accellion Inside Sales Team which resides in our Palo Alto office and is growing. 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Inside Sales, the Midmarket Sales Representative is responsible for meeting sales targets in their assigned territory.  This is a sales-closing position and only those with full sales cycle responsibility and a track record of consistent success will be considered.  They will diligently work leads as assigned in a pro-active manner and perform other duties as assigned. This position will include on-site visits to new and existing customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales goals for each quarter and year
  • Forecast business accurately in Salesforce.com
  • Develop a pipeline of business in line with company objectives
  • Schedule on-site meetings to present Accellion’s solution
  • Attend local trade shows or events as needed
  • Work the Accellion Sales Playbook as directed by management which prescribes the day-to-day work of the inside sales representative
  • Work in concert with the Accellion sales management team to continue our record-breaking sales success
  • Use Salesforce.com and Marketo in your day-to-day work with leads, opportunities and accounts
  • Abide by company policies and the highest professional ethics of a world-class sales team
Experience: 
  • 5+ years of experience selling to businesses between 2,500-5,000 employees
  • Experience with selling to Government or State/local agencies is a plus
  • Must have experience with channel partner deals and working with resellers
  • A consistent track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales quota and goals
  • Their current responsibilities include complete responsibility for the sale, end-to-end
  • Sale of a solution to corporate IT departments; ideally one related to email, security, or similar technologies that relate to our file sharing solution 
  • Previous experience with meeting customers in person
