Salesforce Administrator

Job Description and Desired Skills: 

The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and deploy features, enhancements, and applications in support of all corporate departments, particularly Sales, Marketing, and Support. We are looking for someone who is not only a Salesforce expert but someone who believes in best practices and can take our Salesforce implementation to the next level.  The candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills to work with business users and managers to determine requirements and apply business process and knowledge to enhancement requests.

  • Manage all new user set-ups and deactivation, including ongoing support requests, administrative needs of users and executing configuration changes
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, and page layouts
  • Determine and implement business user requirements
  • Define, communicate, and implement new features and functionality
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, custom reports, and list views
  • Develop and maintain validation rules and custom workflow
  • Define, communicate, and manage implementation of new features, business user requirements and functionality
  • Reporting on results and lead disposition
  • Lead Assignment Rules, Lead Scoring and Lead flow routing
  • Construct summary and detailed views in on all campaign, lead, prospect, opportunity, pipeline, account and revenue activities
  • Manage hierarchies, role profiles and user access in a multi-organization instance
  • Develop and maintain naming conventions of pick lists, report folders, dashboards, etc. to improve system usability
  • Identify adoption issues and foster best practice use of or any adjacent components
  • Regularly audit data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement
  • Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training
  • Perform manual or automated data entry/data clean-up as required
  • Expert level Administrator 
  • Configure standard and custom objects, validation, record types, page layouts, user profiles, reporting, and analytics
  • Configure triggers and workflow for automation solutions
  • Participate in the integration process with other enterprise systems
  • Manage AppExchange installations and other integrations
  • Comfortable with HTML emails and landing page layout in Marketo
  • Performs mass data imports using the API or import tools as requested
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other third party solutions such as lead flows into Salesforce from Marketo, uploading lists into Marketo and other data flows
  • Ability to drive projects/issues to completion
  • Familiar with Salesforce Data Loader or Excel Connector
  • Experience with creation of Marketo assets, programs and automations a plus
  • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges
  • Proficient in data manipulation (Excel)
  • Strong overall technical background
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5+ minimum years in a similar role
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • certification a plus
