Senior Manager / Director of Product Marketing - Mobile

Job Description and Desired Skills: 

This position will own product marketing for Accellion’s enterprise mobile strategy and applications. Responsibilities will include development of market requirements, positioning and messaging, go-to-market strategy, as well as driving product launches and being the key spokesperson for the solution. The successful candidate will have responsibility for understanding the target market, audience, and competition and developing innovative marketing programs to drive demand for Accellion’s mobile products and solutions. This is a high profile position reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing. Accellion is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate Accellion’s market strategy for enterprise mobility, and get buy-in from executive stakeholders.
  • Drive market requirements, author MRDs, and represent the voice of the customer.
  • Be the market expert on Accellion’s target market, audience, and competition.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that clearly differentiate Accellion mobile solutions in the marketplace.
  • Position Accellion solution to meet key buyer needs in targeted market segments and vertical markets.
  • Articulate the value proposition of Accellion products and develop creative, compelling sales tools for the sales organization to leverage in sales cycles.
  • Plan and manage the launch of new products and releases.
  • Design and implement innovative, creative marketing programs across multiple channels including Social Media, SEO, SEM, web and email marketing.
  • Evangelize Accellion products and solutions with the sales team, partners, prospects, press, and analysts.
  • Measure, monitor and publish metrics on customer usage and market penetration.
  • Minimum 5+ years of software product marketing experience including marketing of mobile applications, products and services.
  • Superb writing/communication skills a must with demonstrated ability to communicate at the solution level.
  • Proven track record in developing thought leadership content such as white papers, case studies, solution guides, presentations, demos, contributed articles and sales training.
  • Excellent analytical skills to develop insightful competitive analysis.
  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits.
  • Bachelor's degree required in engineering or computer science.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
