Palo Alto, and Sunnyvale, CA – July 25, 2012 –

Accellion, Inc., the award-winning pioneer in providing enterprise-class, secure and mobile file sharing solutions, and Good Technology™, the leader in secure enterprise mobility solutions, today announced the general availability of the Accellion Mobile App for Good Technology, integrating the latest version of native Accellion Mobile Apps with the Good Dynamics mobile application platform.  The companies have also entered into a channel partnership for joint selling and business development.
Accellion Mobile Apps allow users to collaborate and view more than 200 different file types, edit and share files from a secure, encrypted container directly using smartphones and tablets.  Good Dynamics is the first mobile application platform that lets developers build secure, containerized iOS apps for leading consumer mobile devices.

Accellion Mobile App for Good, powered by Good Dynamics, provides a secure mobile network for Accellion’s enterprise mobile file sharing solution to ensure that today's mobile workforce, in the most highly regulated industries like Financial Services, Government, Healthcare and Legal, can collaborate with added layers of privacy, safety and efficiency from any location using their iPhone® and iPad® devices.  Accellion Mobile App for Good offers enterprise organizations a complete enterprise mobility solution with email, messaging, device, mobile apps and content all secured and in compliance.

“Enterprises are adopting iPads and tablets at a record pace.  With those devices, they are also inadvertently adopting consumer grade cloud storage solutions that disperse critical enterprise data among consumer cloud services like iCloud, SkyDrive and others,” said Sunita Reddy, Director of Product Strategy at Accellion.  “Unfortunately, the risks of data leakage and compliance challenges for certain organizations, especially in healthcare, government, and financial services, have greater consequences than others. The combination of Accellion technology with Good Dynamics enables customers to comply with regulatory mandates for privacy, compliance and control.”

For IT and Security Teams, Accellion Mobile Apps provide:

  • Granular control over user privileges to align with an organization’s data privacy, compliance and security policies, including the ability to designate whether users are Standard, Expert or Restricted and/or if they can  “View Only” or “Edit” files.
  • Secure file lifecycle from authentication to encrypted (256-bit AES) files at rest and in transit, to secure editing, to saving edited files back to the Accellion cloud.
  • Password-protected files that only allow the person who owns the device to access locally saved and encrypted files.
  • Remote monitoring, logging and easy to access usage reports of mobile apps, including remote workers and third parties.
  • Public, private, hybrid cloud connections to maximize privacy and protection based on an enterprise’s specific security needs and requirements.

For IT and security teams, Good Dynamics provides:

  • Mobile device security, including encryption of application data over the air, in use and on the device, detection of jail broken or rooted devices, and remote wiping of mobile device apps data and files.
  • Secure, contained environment delivered through an a combination of on premise, and Network Operation Center (NOC) components, which routes all mobile device activities through a private mobile network and ensures that corporate information is protected end-to-end within Good’s secure container.
  • Secure, contained environment delivered through an on premise, Network Operation Center (NOC) model, which routes all mobile device activities through a private mobile network and ensures that corporate information is protected end-to-end within Good’s secure container.
  • Separation of personal and private app usage, prevention of cut and paste to unapproved consumer apps, separation of work and personal data in secure container.
  • Policy enforcement, to help minimize data loss by offering tools for enforcing organizational security policies.
