Accellion is designed to be easy-to-use for end users and IT management. The simplicity of the end user interface enables rapid uptake of the Accellion file transfer capability by business users. At Accellion our focus is on providing an enterprise file transfer solution that requires little to no end user training. This means increased productivity and reduced business cycle time for end users and less work for IT.
It works like email, only simpler
Sending a file via Accellion is just like sending an email, only simpler. Instead of physically “attaching” the file to an email, the file is uploaded automatically behind the scenes to an Accellion Appliance and the email is instead sent with a secure link to the file. The email recipient opens up the email and clicks on the secure link to download the file. It’s that simple.
End users send files via Accellion either through a web interface or an email plug-in for Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes. The web interface can be optionally custom branded to enable Accellion customers to incorporate their own corporate identity into the web user interface. The Accellion email plug-in places an Accellion icon in the email toolbar and business users use this icon instead of the paper clip to send large files.

Accellion secure file transfer was designed with the convenience of IT and end users equally in mind. For IT Accellion provides a comprehensive set of administrative tools to enable efficient tracking and monitoring of enterprise file transfer. The Admin interface accessible to IT administrators provides configuration and monitoring capabilities essential for enterprise deployment and compliance with federal and industry regulations including Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA and FDA.
