FIPS 140-2 Compliance
Accellion offers a FIPS 140-2 certified managed file transfer solution for virtual, cloud, and hosted deployment options.  

Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 140-2 is a U.S. government computer security standard used to accredit cryptographic modules.   Accellion solutions are FIPS 140-2 certified to ensure that the information government agencies share via the Accellion Secure Collaboration and Managed File Transfer solutions meet the strictest security requirements.  The FIPS 140-2 certified Accellion solution has obtained Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 certification from the Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This standard has also been adopted by the Canadian government's Communication Security Establishment (CSE).

Disaster Recovery – Failover and File Recovery
The Accellion solution provides failover capabilities.   With local clustering there are automated failover capabilities between two appliances installed at the same location.  This provides disaster recovery through data and equipment redundancy protection.  Accellion also provides remote failover through geographic redundancy protection.  If one appliance fails, users can access a second or tertiary device.

Flexible Deployment Options – Choose one, or mix and match Virtual, Cloud, and Hardware
Accellion offers its secure collaboration and file transfer solution as a hosted service or for deployment in virtual, cloud and hardware-based environments.   Accellion Appliances can be mixed and matched between on-premise and in-the-cloud to support both single and multi-site installations.

The Accellion Hosted Cloud solution and Cloud Appliance significantly reduces IT support costs through easy activation and management. It handles spikes in usage and bandwidth with access to scalable elastic cloud computing resources.  Accellion’s Hosted Cloud solution utilizes the Amazon Web Services AWS Cloud Computing Platform, is SAS70 II certified, provides an uptime of 99.95%, and offers data redundancy. 

Accellion Virtual Appliance
The Accellion Virtual Appliance is FIPS 140-2 certified and is as simple as a software download, enabling rapid agency-wide deployment of secure collaboration and file transfer. Additional virtual appliances and storage capacity can be provisioned in minutes for scalability.   The Accellion Virtual Appliance is suited for deployment in VMware, Citrix XenServer, and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environments.
